PETITION - Objection to ODP-37/G:

Objection to Proposed Amendment No.9 to The Vines Outline Development Plan No.37 - To Redesignate parts of Lot 1003, Lot 407 and Lot 11 Verdelho Drive, The Vines

To the Honourable the Speaker and Members of the Legislative Assembly of the Parliament of Western Australia in Parliament assembled.

We, the undersigned, strongly object to the Proposed Amendment No.9 to The Vines Outline Development Plan No.37, proposing the significant redevelopment of The Vines. Such changes would negatively impact tourism, access to sporting, recreational and community assets, environmental and ecological values, amenity and lifestyle, property values, traffic and infrastructure, and bushfire mitigation. They would run directly against the original intent for the area and detrimentally affect the entire local community.

We note that changes already made to the golf course in May 2024 have reduced public access to golf recreation, caused environmental harm and have introduced safety hazards. The community stands united and resolute.

We ask the Legislative Assembly and Minister for Planning to note our strong objections, support our local community, and to reject these new proposals.
